(ទីក្រុងដាវ៉ូស សហព័ន្ធស្វីស)៖ នាព្រឹក​ថ្ងៃអង្គារ ទី១៦ ខែមករា ឆ្នាំ២០២៤ លោកជំទាវ ចម និម្មល រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីក្រសួងពាណិជ្ជកម្ម បានអញ្ជើញចូលរួមកិច្ចប្រជុំពិភាក្សាពហុភាគីស្ដីពី “ពាណិជ្ជកម្មសម្រាប់ការអភិវឌ្ឍ” ដែលជាកម្មវិធីមួយនៃកិច្ចប្រជុំប្រចាំឆ្នាំ២០២៤ នៃវេទិកាសេដ្ឋកិច្ចពិភពលោក។ កិច្ចប្រជុំពិភាក្សានេះមានការចូលរួមពីសំណាក់រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីពាណិជ្ជកម្មនៃប្រទេស អេមីរ៉ាត់អារ៉ាប់រួម ម៉ារុក ហ្សាំប៊ី ប៉េរូ និងថ្នាក់ដឹកនាំនៃអង្គការ និងក្រុមហ៊ុនឯកជនមួយចំនួនទៀតផងដែរ។  

នៅក្នុងកិច្ចពិភាក្សា លោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី បានកត់សម្គាល់នូវតួនាទីដ៏សំខាន់នៃវិស័យពាណិជ្ជកម្មក្នុងការជំរុញការអភិវឌ្ឍសេដ្ឋកិច្ច បង្កើតការងារ និងលើកកម្ពស់ស្ដង់ដារនៃការរស់នៅរបស់ប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ។ ទោះជាយ៉ាងនេះក្ដី បញ្ហាសកលដូចជាវិបត្តិសុខាភិបាល និងសង្គ្រាម នៅតែបន្តបង្កផលប៉ះពាល់ជាអវិជ្ជមានដល់ការស្ដារឡើងវិញនៃសេដ្ឋកិច្ចពិភពលោក ហើយដើម្បីចូលរួមចំណែកដល់ការស្ដារឡើងវិញនេះ កម្ពុជាបានចូលរួមយ៉ាងសកម្មក្នុងកិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងពហុភាគីមួយចំនួននៅក្នុងអង្គការពាណិជ្ជកម្មពិភពលោកដូចជា ចូលរួមជាសមាជិកនៃការចរចាស្ដីពីកិច្ចសម្រួលវិនិយោគសម្រាប់ការអភិវឌ្ឍ និងការអនុវត្តយ៉ាងសកម្មនូវកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងកិច្ចសម្រួលពាណិជ្ជកម្ម ដោយរំពឹងថា ការងារទាំងពីរនេះនឹងជួយដល់ការទាក់ទាញការវិនិយោគបន្ថែមមកកម្ពុជា និងសម្រួលដល់លំហូរពាណិជ្ជកម្មទំនិញ។ បន្ថែមពីនេះទៀត កម្ពុជាក៏បានចូលរួមយ៉ាងសកម្មដល់ការធ្វើឱ្យប្រសើរឡើងនៃដំណើរការពាណិជ្ជកម្មក្នុងតំបន់ តាមរយៈការប្រើប្រាស់ប្រព័ន្ធឌីជីថលក្នុងកិច្ចសម្រួលពាណិជ្ជកម្ម និងជំរុញការធ្វើបរិវត្តកម្មឌីជីថលអាស៊ាន។ លោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីរំពឹងថា កិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងរបស់កម្ពុជានឹងរួមចំណែកដល់ការពង្រឹងតួនាទីនៃវិស័យពាណិជ្ជកម្ម ដែលជាចលករដ៏សំខាន់ក្នុងការអភិវឌ្ឍសេដ្ឋកិច្ចជាតិ និងសកលលោក។

Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, participated in a multilateral meeting on Trade for Development, a the WEF Annual Meeting 2024

(Davos, Switzerland): On the morning of Tuesday, 16 January 2024, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce of Cambodia, participated in a multilateral meeting on Trade for Development, a part of her program at the WEF Annual Meeting 2024. Other participants took part in this meeting are Ministers of Commerce of UAE, Morocco, Zambia, and Peru as well as a number of NGOs and business leaders.

In the meeting, the Minister acknowledged the important role of trade in fostering economic development, create jobs, and enhance the overall standard of living of the population. Nonetheless, global issues such as health crises and wars continued to have negative effect on global economic recovery. As part of the global economic recovery efforts, Cambodia has participated actively in many multilateral initiatives at the WTO including as a negotiating member of the Investment for Development Joint Statement Initiative and has implemented prudently the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement. Cambodia hoped that these initiatives would lead to an increase in investments to Cambodia and further facilitate smooth flow of goods. In addition, Cambodia has also participated constructively to improve regional trade processes through the use of digital trade facilitation and the promotion of digital economy transformation in ASEAN. Her Excellency Minister is optimistic that the efforts made by Cambodia would contribute to reinforce the role of trade as an important driver for national and global economic development.
