គោលបំណងនៃកិច្ចប្រជុំចរចានេះ គឺដើម្បីបន្តចរចាលើកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងឧបត្ថម្ភធនជលផលជំហានទី២ សំដៅទទួលបានកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងគ្រប់ជ្រុងជ្រោយមួយ សម្រាប់គ្រប់គ្រងសកម្មភាពនេសាទសមុទ្រខុសច្បាប់ ពុំមានការរាយការណ៍ និងការគ្រប់គ្រងពុំបានត្រឹមត្រូវ ជាពិសេស ដើម្បីរឹតត្បិតសកម្មភាពឧបត្ថម្ភធនជលផល និងធានាចីរភាពនៃធនធានជលផលសមុទ្រ ឱ្យស្របតាមគោលដៅអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ប្រកបដោយចីរភាពរបស់អង្គការសហប្រជាជាតិ ចំណុច ១៤.៦ (Life below water)។

(Abu Dhabi): On the morning of Tuesday, 27 February 2024, His Excellency SOK Sopheak, Secretary of State of Commerce, high representative of Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, led the Cambodian delegation to attend the negotiation on Fisheries Subsidies Agreement Phase II during the 13th WTO Ministerial Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate.
The primary objective of this negotiation was to continue the negotiation on Phase II of Fisheries Subsidies to conclude a comprehensive agreement for regulation of illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing or fishing-related activities, especially to prohibit fisheries subsidies that contribute to overfishing and overcapacity, ensuring the sustainability of resources under water as consistent with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 14.6: “Life below water.”
