ជាកិច្ចចាប់ផ្ដើម ឯកឧត្តម Tim Ayres សមាជិកព្រឹទ្ធសភា និងជាអនុរដ្ឋមន្ត្រីពាណិជ្ជកម្មនិងផលិតកម្មអូស្ត្រាលី បានសម្តែងការស្វាគមន៍យ៉ាងកក់ក្ដៅចំពោះវត្តមានលោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្រ្តី មកកាន់ប្រទេសអូស្ត្រាលីនាឱកាសនេះ។ ជាមួយគ្នានេះដែរ លោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្រ្តី ក៏បានសំដែងនូវអំណរគុណចំពោះឯកឧត្តម Tim Ayres ដែលបានចំណាយពេលវេលាដ៏មមារញឹកដើម្បីជួបពិភាក្សាការងារជាមួយលោកជំទាវ និងគណៈប្រតិភូក្រសួងពាណិជ្ជកម្ម។
ភាគីទាំងពីរបានកត់សម្គាល់លើការសម្រេចបាននូវលំហូរពាណិជ្ជកម្មទ្វេភាគីរវាងកម្ពុជា-អូស្ត្រាលី នាពេលកន្លងមក។ ទន្ទឹមនឹងនេះ ភាគីទាំងពីរបានពិភាក្សាផ្លាស់ប្ដូរយោបល់ល្អៗសំដៅធ្វើយ៉ាងណាពង្រឹង និងជំរុញសកម្មភាពធុរកិច្ចនិងលំហូរពាណិជ្ជកម្មនៃប្រទេសទាំងពីរបន្ថែមទៀត ជាពិសេសបានគូសបញ្ជាក់ពីភាពចាំបាច់ក្នុងការបន្តកិច្ចខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែង លើការអនុវត្តកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងបង្កើតតំបន់ពាណិជ្ជកម្មសេរីអាស៊ាន-អូស្ត្រាលី-នូវែលសេឡង់ និងកិច្ចព្រមព្រៀងអាសិប។
ជាចុងបញ្ចប់ លោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្រ្តី ក៏បានគូសបញ្ជាក់ពីតួនាទីដ៏សំខាន់របស់វិស័យឯកជននៃប្រទេសទាំងពីរ នៅក្នុងការអភិវឌ្ឍសេដ្ឋកិច្ចកម្ពុជា ជាពិសេសក្នុងការបង្កើតឱកាសការងារ និងការធ្វើពិពិធកម្មឧស្សាហកម្មនិងពាណិជ្ជកម្មកម្ពុជា។ ជាមួយគ្នានេះផងដែរ លោកជំទាវរដ្ឋមន្រ្តីបានជំរុញលើកទឹកចិត្តសហគមន៍ធុរកិច្ចនិងវិនិយោគិនអូស្ត្រាលី ឱ្យបង្កើនសកម្មភាពធុរកិច្ចនិងការបណ្ដាក់ទុនបន្ថែមទៀតនៅកម្ពុជា ជាពិសេសលើវិស័យដែលរាជរដ្ឋាភិបាលកម្ពុជាចាត់ទុកថាជាវិស័យដែលមានតម្លៃបន្ថែមខ្ពស់ដល់សេដ្ឋកិច្ចជាតិដូចជា វិស័យកសិកម្មនិងឧស្សាហកម្មកែច្នៃ ពាណិជ្ជកម្មអេឡិចត្រូនិកឡូជីស្ទីក បច្ចេកវិទ្យាឌីជីថល ជាដើម។
(Melbourne, Australia): On the morning of Tuesday, 5 March 2024, on the occasion of accompanying Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to participate in the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Australia’s Dialogue Partnership, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, met with Senator the Hon Tim Ayres, Assistant Minister for Trade and Assistant Minister for Manufacturing of Australia, to discuss and strengthen friendship and bilateral economic and trade relations between Cambodia and Australia.
To begin, Senator the Hon Tim Ayres expressed his warm welcome to Her Excellency Minister for her honorable presence in Australia on this special occasion. In response, Her Excellency Minister expressed her deep appreciation to Senator the Hon Tim Ayres for his time to meet with Her Excellency Minister and the Ministry of Commerce’s delegation.
During the discussion, both parties noted a remarkable achievement in the bilateral trade flows between Australia and Cambodia that have been made so far. In this regard, both parties discussed and exchanged views and best practices towards further strengthening and promoting business activities and bilateral trade between the two countries, in particular emphasizing the importance of implementations of the Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) and the RCEP Agreement in order to further strengthen trade relation and economic cooperation between the two countries.
In closing, Her Excellency Minister underscored the importance of the roles of private sectors from both countries to Cambodia’s economic development, especially for employment creation, as well as trade and industry diversifications in Cambodia. At the same time, Her Excellency Minister also encouraged Australian business community and investors to increase business activities and further invest in high-value-added sectors that the Royal Government of Cambodia has considered as prioritized sectors for economic development, such as agriculture and agro-processing, logistics, e-commerce, and digital technology, etc.
